Our new home *long post*

I know it's kind of grandma-ish but we love it because it is Grandma-ish!!!

We are closing on May 27th!!

This lady we are buying the house from is 90 years old and has lived in this home for 45 years. It is in excellent condition and it feels so right.

Marie(the seller) is selling it because she can't go up and down the stairs anymore and is moving into a condo. She is the nicest little old lady ever. She decided that she didn't need any more of her furniture that was in the house and she was only going to take what she needed to the new home and is leaving the rest in the house for us. So by the time we move in we will have pretty much a fully furnished home

The home is in really good condition and has a big yard which will be nice for the puppies!! There is some work that needs to be done, there are original hardwood floors through out the upstairs and we are going to rip them out and re do the floors. We are going to pull off the wall paper and paint the upstairs. I am looking forward to actually getting out of apartment dwelling and actually feel at home.

It has been a lot of stress buying our house. Here is the story

I don't have any credit in my name, yup I am the one person in the world besides a 2 year old that has a ZERO credit score. Well apparently lenders see what I call being "responsible" as a risk. Danny has GREAT! credit because everything we own is in his name, just out of what is only known now as sheer stupidity/laziness that we never got anything put in my name when we got married because we never thought this was going to be an issue.Boy were we wrong.

Our in house lender at my office was helping us out with a loan but when we finally got a signed accepted offer he told me that he couldn't do the loan because he doesn't have the ability to do what is called "Alternative Credit" which is basically all the bills you pay that never report to credit companies. So he referred us to a lender by the name of "Blake Reese at North Western Mortgage"**BEWARE**

Danny and I met with Blake on April 26th, 10 days after we had the signed accepted offer. He told us that we had to move our close date back a week and a half so we did. What he wanted to do was try to build me up a credit score so Danny and I put my name on one of the loans and we were basically trying to do the loan 2 different ways, using the alternative credit and doing it normal with me showing some type of credit history. He also told us that he would be sending out an appraiser to the home but we needed to pay a deposit of $595 which was to go towards paying the appraiser, pulling re credits and paying fees. So stupid us, paid the $

Well that was 3 weeks ago and he called me last week and told me that he was 20-30 days behind on getting the loan so there was a possibility that we would have to push our close date back again!! Well after 3 weeks of getting no where with this company Danny and I decided we had had enough with his stupid secretaries not knowing what they were doing and tired of trying to pull teeth to get them to send us any copies of any of the paper work and tired of hearing them tell us day after day that they were still "waiting" on the credit scores to show up.

So we decided to switch lenders.

This new guy Todd has been nothing short of a miracle for us! he has been amazing.

Todd has done more for us in 1 week than Blake did in 3. The only issue is, the appraisal on the home has been ordered and done but now Blake won't us the $ that we gave him that we were told was going to pay for he appraisal, he wont use the $ to pay the guy. So to get to the short of it, he basically says that the $ we paid him was going towards his office staff and that we knew that that $ was not going towards paying for the appraisal. So basically, he stole $600 dollars from us!!!

DO NOT USE BLAKE AT NORTHWESTERN MORTGAGE!!! he is a thief and a liar!!

But Todd has gotten us in our house in 1 week and I am nothing short of grateful!! He was able to get us approved WITHOUT using any alternative credit for me and put us in our home with and interested rate of... ready!! 5.125%(way lower than what dip shit was going to give us) I was so happy when he called to tell us the news. I only wish that we would have gone to him in the first place.

We are still trying to get our $ back from the other jack ass lender but we aren't going to let that get in our way of enjoying buying our first home.

We are planning on having a BBQ after we get in and paint and get settled so give me addresses so I can send out invites later!
