Don't want to jinx it but.....

WE ARE UNDER CONTRACT ON OUR FIRST HOME!!!!

It's a for sale by owner in Layton and it's not the one that I complained about a few weeks ago!
It has all gone really fast so it's a little overwhelming. I found the ad on KSL on wednesday and called on it wednesday afternoon and scheduled an appointment to see it that night. We went and saw it and and both really like it so we made a verbal offer. I was a little bit nervous to do that because of the last time we did that we got shot down but the guy told us he would have to call us back after he talked to his grandma and mother.(The home is in a trustee account and the owner is 85 years old and has lived in it for 45 years so the grandson and daughter are helping her sale it)

He called us back about 15 minutes later and accepted our offer. We scheduled a time to meet with them last night to go over the paper work, the thing that made me feel good about it all is that he called us last night to make sure we were still on for meeting with them. We met with them last night and had the offical offer drawn up.

We really didnt expect them to sign anything last night. We expected them to have a realtor friend look over it but they didnt and they signed everything right than and there!! we are planning to close on May 18th and move the weekend of Memorial!! Hopefully by this time next month we are home owners!!

This has been a really big blessing for us because 1 we hate HATE our neighbors where we are now and we have been stuck in a teeny tiny 1 bedroom apartment for 3 years and it's been really tough on me because I have been having the "Why doensn't anything good happen to us" feeling lately and the "Why is the Lord blessing other people and not us" kind of thing and this has been really good for us to help lift our spirits.

I will post pictures once we are certain everything is going to go through but it's going to be a fun starter home for us.
