Lava Hot Springs and 4th of July

Well last weekend the whole family got together and went up to Lava Hot Springs. I love going up there but this trip was quite the adventure. We had a total of 25 people up there with us and that made it crappy. Friday we all went to the swimming pools for the day which was super fun

Than Saturday happened(da da da) Raini and I decided we wanted to go down the river, the 2 of us went down with her friends Kirk and Andrea, well there are 2 waterfalls you can go down that aren't really that big of a drop well we went down the first one just fine, the other one is the kind where you have to stay to one side or else you hit a big drop.. well I had just gone down the fall just fine, than Andrea went than I saw Raini go down, well someone had accidentally bumped into her and sent her down the wrong side. I saw her pop up and she looked like she was in pain I asked her if she was alright and she said just plain and simple " I think I broke my ankle" well I didn't really think she meant it so I took my time to get over to her. She got over to the side and I told her to lift her leg up so I could see it.. sure enough, BROKEN!!

well the 3 of us (Kirk, Andrea and I) didnt' quite know what to do because she couldn't walk on it and we couldn't carry her up because it was a stright incline up to where the rest of the family was. So Kirk and Andrea stayed with her and I ran my guts out to go get some help. When I grabbed Danny we both ran back down to her. We decided when we got down there that the only way we were going to be able to bring her up to the top was so push her down the river a ways. So we did that and it took probably about 6 people to carry her up to the top. We loaded her up in the back of the car and took her to the hospital... well to make a long story short she broke her leg and her ankle and went into surgery on Thursday and got 7 screws and a pin placed in her leg. she is laid up for 6-8 weeks because of it.

After a few more bumps and bruises we decided we are not going to go back up to Lava with that many people anymore.. I love that place but people are scared of the river now..sissies!

Danny and I went up to Soda Springs wich is about 30 minutes away from Lava, they have naturally carbonated water running through the town and this spot here is where it comes up from.

or the 4th Danny and I went up to Kaysville to the parade and the fireworks, it was super fun. We had Raini's kids for the day because she couldnt come and Jay stayed with her so we stole the kids for the day. Later that afternoon we went with Danny's parents to go see Wall-E. it was really cute. Than Saturday we went with my parents to go see Hancock, that was a good movie also but I loved the theater we went to it is a new one in Syracuse and it is really cheap and the theaters are huge and because it was new there wasn't a whole lot of people there.

Saturday night Danny and I met up with Mike,Paige,Spencer,Stephanie,Dave and Stephanie and my brother Riley, we all went bowling.. I love bowling I forgot how much fun it was. Here is a picture of Mike and Paige being weird. Danny wasn't felling the greatest that night so all the pictures I have of him is him being a pooper.

Than I have to share this little gem. Sunday morning we went out to Daybreak for a baby blessing. The houses there are so oddly placed and so oddly painted that I had to take a picture of this house..

Tell me that is not the ugliest color you have ever seen.. this picture sooo does not even do it justice. Go out there and look for it.. you will be blown away.
