Live like no one else so later you can live like no one else.

Danny and I had the opportunity to go to a "Total Money Makeover" event on Saturday at the E-Center. It was a 5 hour seminar but it was well worth the time and money. Dave Ramsey is amazing. If you have the chance to listen to him DO IT!! He is on every night from 7-10 on Am 570 KNRS.
He is all about getting out of debt, investing and paying for things with cash. He works what is called the "Debt Snowball" his program is alot like the program that the church has set up but simpler.. he actually goes through and teaches you how to get out of debt and how to invest your money wisely.
By the age of 26 he was a multi millionaire and than he lost it all and had to declare bankruptcy he talks about how he was able to climb out of debt and now he is a multi millionaire again but this time he has invested and saved and is teaching other people how to get out of debt so that they never have to be in the situation that he was in.
Danny and I are almost done with baby step 1 which is to have a $1000 dollar emergancy fund set up. Baby step 2 is the debt snowball. Hopefully if things go the way we want them to go Danny and I should be out of debt by this time next year. We are super excited because than we can save up the money we were spending on our debt and save for a house!!
